Verse (Roman transliteration)

Bhaja Govindam Bhaja Govindam, Govindam Bhaja Moodhamate Janma Janmaantara Sanchitapaapam, Smarana Ekena Nashhyati

Translation

Seek Govinda, seek Govinda, seek Govinda, O fool! The accumulated sins of many births are destroyed by a single act of sincere remembrance.

The teaching

The final verse closes where the first opened — with the refrain. Its ending carries extraordinary grace: even lifetimes of accumulated wrong action, confusion, and harm can be dissolved by a single sincere act of turning toward what is real. This is not a promise of magical escape from consequences — it is an affirmation that the door of transformation is always open, always now, regardless of how far one has strayed.

Living this today

Illustrative example: If a conversation ended badly, consider one specific repair: acknowledge what you said, listen to the other person, or offer a practical apology. Beginning again does not erase consequences; it opens a next step.

Closing reflection

The series returns to the refrain with which it began. These reflections approach the text from different angles: attention, desire, relationships, identity and devotion. A reader can revisit one verse without having read every earlier part. The invitation to begin again is spiritual in its original setting; the everyday examples here are interpretations, not universal promises.
